UK Prime Minister praises Saudi Arabia’s target of Net Zero by 2060 during call with Crown Prince

On November 10, UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson spoke to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman ahead of a visit to COP26 in Glasgow. The PM praised the Kingdom’s commitment to reach net zero by 2060. 

 

During the call, the Crown Prince reaffirmed that the Kingdom is committed to enhancing research and funding into alternative fuel technologies. Both men also discussed the importance of progressive and meaningful negotiations at COP26. 

 

The call concluded with a reassertion of the strong bilateral relations between the two Kingdoms.
